This virtual conference was organised by Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) to provide the platform for researchers in the HIV, Hepatitis and Sexual Health field to collaborate and share knowledge. This conference was particularly important because researchers also shared learnings about future strategies in times of a pandemic. COVID-19 was at the centre of the deliberations.
Being a member of ASHM, it was the first ASHM conference I attended. Although I did not present at this conference, I took away so much learning that will guide me through my academic and professional journey.
It was even more exciting that my certificate came in on World AIDS Day 2020. How strategic.
