THE MAKING OF A CONFERENCE: THE JOURNEY TO IMPACT MAKERS 2021

The Impact Makers Conference, organised by the QUT School of Public Health and Social Work (SPHSW) provides a platform for Higher Degree Research (HDR) students to showcase their research and also collaborate with other researchers in their field.

The maiden edition of the conference was in 2020 (IM2020). With plans on course for Impact Makers 2021 (IM2021), it was humbling as the HDR representative and Chair of the Scientific Committee to deliver a presentation about the IM2021 to the academics within SPHSW during the monthly School forum.

It was an engaging session with helpful tips and suggestions from the academics.
