THE MAKING OF DR. AARON AKPU PHILIP (DR AAP)
On Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, I crossed the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) big stage and was officially introduced to the world as Dr. AAP.
It was a humbling moment that made me reflect on where I came from. The moment was beautiful as I had my family and friends present.
During the PhD training, one conducts novel independent research that contributes significantly to a field. We are encouraged to publish papers, attend conferences, and develop skills in teaching, leadership, effective communication etc. I did all that, so there is no need to take up space to mention my number of publications and conference presentations.
Here is why:
The most important part of my PhD journey was my FAMILY: Squeezim (Ezinne), Heir apparent 1 (Zoe) and Heir apparent 2 (Zita). In fact, my co-author (Squeezim) and I published our most important publications (Zoe & Zita) during my PhD journey.
As you can also see, they are all wearing the Bonnets because they all own this PhD. I was just the poster child for the PhD.
See how the bonnet fits Squeezim even better than it fits me. They are the real legends here. Without them, there would be no Dr. AAP.
Therefore, by the power vested in me as the owner of a PhD, I confer on them the following honorary titles:
- Dr. Ezinne (Squeezim)
- Dr. Zoe (Heir apparent 1)
- Dr. Zita (Heir apparent 2)
Please help me congratulate them on this important win.
Congratulations to Dr. AAP
A massive congratulations to my girls.
